Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Sign 'n' Post ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

Sign 'n' Post is a document generation and e-signature API. You upload PDF templates, fill them via API, and optionally send them for signing. We store your documents and deliver signed copies.

3. Accounts

You need an account to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your password and API keys secure. Don't share API keys. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.

4. Billing

The Free plan has no charge. The Plus and Pro plans are billed monthly. On the Pro plan, overage is billed per request beyond the included amount. All fees are in USD. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Fees are non-refundable. We may suspend or terminate your account for non-payment.

5. Your Documents

You own your documents. We don't claim any rights to the PDFs you upload or the documents you generate. We store them to provide the Service and delete them according to your plan's vault retention period.

6. E-Signatures

E-signatures created through the Service are intended to comply with the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA. We provide the technology; we don't provide legal advice. Consult a lawyer if you need legal certainty about the enforceability of your documents.

7. Acceptable Use

Don't use the Service to:

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold Sign 'n' Post harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, your documents, or your violation of these terms.

9. Assignment

You can't transfer this agreement without our consent. We can't transfer it without yours, except in a merger or acquisition.

10. Export Control

You represent that you're not on any U.S. government restricted parties list and won't use the Service in violation of U.S. export laws.

11. API Usage

The API is subject to rate limits. We may change or deprecate API endpoints with reasonable notice. We will communicate breaking changes before they ship.

12. Data and Privacy

We collect your email address, password (hashed), documents you upload, and API usage logs including IP addresses. We use this data to provide the Service.

Documents are stored encrypted at rest in the United States on SOC 2 Type 2 certified infrastructure. All connections are encrypted in transit. Passwords and API keys are stored hashed, never in plaintext. Signing links expire after 7 days and are delivered as links, not email attachments. Each team's data is isolated.

We don't sell your data and never will. We don't access your documents except to provide the Service or as required by law.

We share data with third-party processors only to operate the Service (billing, email delivery, document storage). These providers process data on our behalf.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18.

13. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee 100% uptime or that the Service will be error-free. Our liability is limited to the fees you've paid in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

14. Termination

Either party can terminate at any time. On termination, your data remains available for 30 days. After that, we delete it. Unpaid fees remain due.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email or the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
